Replacement of 225 Cedar Shake Roofs
Whitpain Farm is an active adult community in Blue Bell, Pennsylvania that was built between 1981 and 1987. The design of these homes specified cedar shake roofs. If installed correctly, this type of roof will last for a very long time. After about 20 years, the roofs in this development, which were installed by someone else, were starting to fail.
The manager of the property contacted CD Kaller and we were given the contract to replace the cedar shake roofs on 225 homes. The photo above is an aerial shot of some of these homes.
Lightweight cedar is a renewable, sustainable, and recyclable material and cedar shake roofing is a great insulator. As an Approved Supplier Affiliate Member of the Cedar Shake and Shingle Bureau, CD Kaller is able to offer a CSSB Manufacturer’s Lifetime Limited Warranty on roofs using Certi-Label cedar shakes.
